Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid provides a range of support and accommodation services for women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Summary of post:
Provide an initial point of contact for women and agencies contacting the organisation for refuge, community support and information.
Receive, process and record referrals and outcomes.
Full time, maternity cover – 6 months minimum (may be extended/made permanent)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. This job may require rota working to ensure a referral service is available some early mornings, evenings, weekends and holiday periods.
The Referral Co-ordinator is the initial point of contact by telephone for women and agencies contacting the organisation for refuge, community support and information.
Candidates should have previous experience of providing support to women who have experienced domestic violence.
Salary: NJC scale points 9-20 Starting salary £20,903 per annum
Due to the level of contact with vulnerable women and children, the lawful recruitment of a female for this post falls within the exemption stated in Article 10 (2b&e) of the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976
